We've Got a New Look!

new look

Thrive Africa is starting off 2008 with a whole new look.
Not only has our email newsletter gotten a facelift, but our whole website has had an extreme makeover! There is lots more to see and tons more information about all our programs and outreaches. You can read more about Thrive, see opportunities to come to Africa, and learn how you can invest in what God is doing here.

One of our favorite new features is the Field Blog.
We update it a few times a week with stories from the field and you can leave comments to let us know what you think.

We invite you to join the dialogue!

Saying Hello and Goodbye

  interns

Hello... The new year brings with it a new team of interns. Last week we welcomed 10 new interns into the Thrive family. As they arrived for their year of service with us, they seemed eager, expectant, and a little bit nervous. After a week of training, teambuilding, interviews, and even a test (which they all passed!), their first full week of ministry and classes is now underway.

We know God handpicked our interns to be here this year. They are a valuable part of our team, and together we're going to accomplish a lot for God's Kingdom. Welcome to the family, interns!

Goodbye... Our 2007 interns finished their year strong and headed home in December after a week of debriefing in Cape Town. As they said farewell to their LaunchPad students, Hope House kids, and Leadership Summit coaches, many tears were shed. Our interns left their footprint on African soil and left their "heartprint" in so many hearts.

It was incredible to see how far God brought them — they left very differently than they arrived. As they opened their hearts to God and to one another, their lives were changed forever.

Coming to America

  Niel and Alece

Thrive Africa founders, Niel and Alece van Rensburg, will be in America throughout April and May for fundraising and ministry.
Right now, they are planning to spend time in Michigan, Florida, Virginia/DC, Colorado, California, Washington, and New York. If you are interested in helping to connect other people with Thrive Africa, please let us know. We could really use your help to set up meetings and speaking engagements for the van Rensburgs.
